Every year, ALR Events sponsors a fundraiser for an animal shelter that specializes in bully breeds. This year ALR Events along with the Gallish Group is proudly sponsoring:
Atlanta Underdog Initiative will be using proceeds from this event for Gracie's surgery:“Gracie needs to have what is known as a TTA procedure. It is in essence a cruciate surgical repair, but unlike a common ligature procedure the bone is altered instead of simply having synthetic ligaments installed in the leg. The specialist felt that she needed to have a TTA rather than simple cruciate repair as she is a very young and active dog. She had a simple cruciate repair done on her left leg back in May and we haven't been thrilled with the results, even though we followed her care instructions exactly as directed. We were told that she would most likely blow out the right leg when the left was repaired. The care time was much longer with a simple cruciate repair than with a TTA.
She will have the surgery done at Beaver Crossing Animal Hospital in Lilburn. The clinic number is 770-921-4981. Gracie's estimate will be under Patricia Siems and K9 Rescue League. There are also two other dogs having cruciate surgery under K9 Rescue League, so any donations called in for Gracie must be specifically designated for her.
The total without tax is $ 2,103.42. The surgery alone is $1,593.7. Everything else is for blood work, xrays, 2 days hospitalization and surgical supplies. “

East Atlanta Art Show Rules:
-the theme of course is "East Atlanta"
-paintings, sculptures, photographs, poetry, & collages may be submitted as long as the piece reflects East Atlanta in some way.
-you can enter as many pieces as you like.
-there is a $5 entry fee per piece which will be donated to Atlanta Underdog Initiative.
-the winner will receive gift certificates from local businesses. -you can drop of your art work at The Galish Group anytime between now and Nov. 13. Or you can bring your artwork to Graveyard on Nov. 14 from 12-1pm. All artwork must be submitted by Nov. 14 no later than 1pm so we can have hung/displayed by the start of the contest.
-you can donate your piece to be auctioned off to benefit Atlanta Underdog Initiative or you can take them home from Graveyard on Nov. 14 at 6pm. Winners must be present during the show to receive their prize.

Because this is the first year, we are keeping the sponsorship requirements for this year very low. Sponsors that participate this year will get a 20% discount on sponsorships next year.
*This fee will be waived for a few local charities (please contact us for more details).
